ABOUT BMD CONFERENCES
Continuing the conference series established in 2010, BMD brings together leading scientists, researchers, and engineers working in the broad field of bicycle and motorcycle dynamics and control. The conference provides an international forum to present the latest research, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations within the community.
Topics include, but are not limited to: single-track vehicles (e.g. bicycles, motorcycles, scooters), narrow-track and tilting vehicles, unicycles and dicycles (e.g. Segways and hoverboards), modelling, kinematics and dynamics, control, human control, rider properties, handling qualities, tires, experimental studies, aerodynamics, simulators, nonholonomic dynamics, robot riders, path following, etc.
Following the spirit of previous editions, BMD 2027 will feature a single-track programme designed to encourage discussion and interaction among participants. The conference will also include poster presentations and dedicated opportunities for networking and scientific exchange. Previous editions were held in Delft (2010 and 2023), Narashino (2013), Milwaukee (2016), and Padua (2019). More information at https://bmdconf.org/.
